Obituary for Sharon L. Wojnowicz (Warren)

WOJNOWICZ, Sharon L.
(nee Warren)

Of Hamburg, NY, passed away suddenly on August 24, 2019 with her family by her side. Born in Lackawanna on September 7, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Eleanor (nee Walsh) Warren. Sharon graduated from Lackawanna High School and after her children were grown up, she worked for ECMC and Buffalo State University. Her interests were family and fellowship with life-long friends. Sharon is survived by her beloved children and their spouses, Lynn (Wayne) Francis and David Jr. (Lisa) Wojnowicz; her adoring grandchildren William, Elizabeth, Austin, and Ashley; also survived by her dearest sister Catherine Machina and many other loving nieces and nephews. Sharon was predeceased in death by her husband David Sr., and her brother Buddy Warren. The family will be present on Thursday from 4-8PM at the (Blasdell/Lackawanna Chapel) JOHN J. KACZOR FUNERAL HOME, INC. 3450 South Park Ave., and where prayers will be said Friday morning at 9:45AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Victory Basilica. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Assocation, P.O. Box 3049 Syracuse, NY 13220-3049. I was so sorry to hear of Sharon's passing Sharon was a wonderful person she was also my 1st contact at Buffalo State College Registrar's Office. She was also my lunch time partner which made lunches Very enjoyable. Rest in peace Sharon we will no doubt have another lunch date, Until then take care my sister from another Mr. I will miss you.
